SNSD comeback confirmed on August.

Girls' Generation will make you feel the heat this August as they confirm a full- group comeback after 5 years.

To celebrate the 15th year anniversary of their debut, Girls’ Generation (SNSD) is confirmed to release a new album in August. Girls’ Generation said in a Twitter post that included a link to a Korean news article on the comeback.

“The legends are back! #GirlsGeneration will release an album as 8 members to celebrate their 15th anniversary this August,” the post said.
“SNSD will be releasing a new album in August for their fans who have shown love and support throughout the years,” SM Entertainment, the group’s agency, wrote in a statement.

Following their sixth studio album “Holiday Night” in August 2017, this will be their first comeback with all eight members in five years. In addition, Girls’ Generation is also scheduled to make appearances on TV shows and reality programmes to promote the upcoming release.

Girls’ Generation is composed of eight members, namely, Taeyeon, Sunny, Tiffany, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sooyoung, Yoona, and Seohyun. The girl group originally debuted as a nine-member unit in August 2007 with the single “Into the New World”.

Former member Jessica left the group in September 2014. Meanwhile, Tiffany, Sooyoung, and Seohyun left SM Entertainment in October 2017 to pursue their career as actresses but clarified that they will remain as members of Girls’ Generation.

Some of Girls’ Generation’s biggest hits include Gee, Genie, The Boys, Mr. Taxi, Run Devil Run, and Oh, among others.

In 2017, Billboard honored Girls' Generation as the Top K-pop Girl Group of the Past Decade. They are the first Asian girl group to achieve five music videos with over 100 million views on YouTube with ‘Gee’, ‘I Got a Boy’, ‘The Boys’, ‘Mr. Taxi’, and ‘Oh!’.
