Christmas is time for togetherness and sharing not only grace but joy as well.

And memories, too.

That was precisely the intention of daring star of the 80s Amanda Amores, of "Hudas" fame, when she initiated the reunion of sexy stars of the 80s last December 18 at the Santo Domingo Barangay Hall in Quezon City where Amanda's daughter China Yu-Kim is the Chairman.

"Kasi, masarap magsama-sama ulit ang magkaka-batch sa showbiz. Kahit mahirap mag-organize, okay lang (Because it's fulfilling to get our batchmates in showbiz. Even if it's hard to organize, it's okay)," quipped Amores, who moved heaven and earth to make things happen as a Christmas treat to her contemporaries.

"It's pot luck," announced Amanda who was introduced in the late Peque Gallaga's film "Scorpio Nights."

Among the stars who made it to the Christmas party were Joy Sumilang, of "Sabik...Kasalanan Ba?" fame, who brought in "dinuguan (pork blood stew)"; Cherry Madrigal, of "GI Baby" film, baked "biko (sticky rice sweet delicacy) and steamed "suman (sticky rice); Vida Verde, of the movie "Nene," came all the way from Tumauini, Isabela and took with her native delicacy called "machine gun" (sticky brown rice rolled in fine banana leaves that are stringed together like a magazine); Myrna Castillo, of "Ito ang Babae" screen project, contributed bread; Aleli Abadilla, one of the Rebel Beauties, brought in merienda; Myra Manibog, of the hit "The Snake Sisters" added deserts; Janice Jurado gave a box of chocolates and Amanda prepared gifts, food and drinks.

Among the names pasted in the giant Christmas Tree drawing, only Katrina Paula and Maria Isabel Lopez didn't make it.

"Hindi ko alam kung ano ang nangyari kay Katrina, sabi niya, pupunta siya (I don't know what happened to her. She said she would make it)," wondered Amores.

"Maribel was busy at the shoot of an action project with Jericho Rosales," she volunteered.

"It was fun. Ang saya-saya (Very, very joyful)," commented Vida.

"Sana, ganito lagi (I hope it's like this everytime)," quipped Myrna.

"Masarap ding maglaro (It's wonderful to play games)," exclaimed Joy.

It was indeed an enriching experience.
