Did you know that the unique side of award-winning Chinoy actress Rebecca Chuaunsu is to sell or book her film "Her Locket" personally to various international film festivals and other screening venues domestically?
Yes, she doesn't have qualms in promoting her own film about a demented Chinese woman who gains memory through wearing her locket necklace.
"I went to Morocco and France to book the film," she said without batting an eyelash.
Aside from being the lead actress, Rebecca is also one of the producers of the project that was shown at the March du Film section of the Cannes International Film Festival in France and the Festival International du Film Transsaharien de Zagora in Morocco.
At the recently concluded 2024 Wu Wei Taipei Film Festival, she also facilitated the screening of "Her Locket" in the fest that earned her the Best Actress plum during the awards night of the event held at the Westar Theater in Ximeding, Taipei.
"Iiikot ko pa ito sa buong mundo (I will make the rounds of the film globally," assured Chuaunsu.
"At gagawa pa rin ako ng mga pelikula na ibebenta ko (And I will still maje movies to sell)," she added.
"Her Locket" was part of the recently concluded 2024 Sinag Maynila Film Festival organized by Solar Entertainment and internationally acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Ma. Mendoza.
It starred, aside from Rebecca, Elora Espano, Boo Gabunada, Benedict Cua, Tommy Alejandrino, Rolly Inocencio, Sophie Ng, Francis Mata, Zoey Villamangca, among others and directed by J.E. Tiglao.
