Lay of EXO to perform at MetaMoon Music Festival, an event dedicated to music and shared cultural experience, together with other Asian-American acts at Barclays Center in NYC.

Lay Zhang of K-pop boy group EXO will headline MetaMoon Music Festival on November 26 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, where he will be joined by other Asian artists to deliver exciting performances for the culture.

Some acts in the lineup will also make their US debut including 9m88, Karencici, ØZI, and Sury Su, while other performers are expected to be announced soon.

Founded by Hong Kong-based Graceful Media and produced with Live Nation, the MetaMoon Music Festival aims to unite Asia and the United States through music.

“There is a great need for stronger Asian representation in pop culture and the media, and the mission of MetaMoon Music Festival is to give artists the ability to shine from a prominent stage in the heart of Brooklyn,” said Grace Chen, Founder of Graceful Media.

“Now more than ever, music is truly a global language and talent, no matter where they come from, will resonate with fans across cultures if given the opportunity to share their passion and creativity,” she then added.

Graceful Media is pushing to make a platform in the United States for Asian and Asian American artists to connect with other artists and fans, especially to those who are not receiving as much attention as their counterparts belonging to other races.

Choosing New York City as the host for the music festival was easy as it has the most prominent Asian-American population in the United States with almost 15 percent of the entire city’s population.

“The inaugural MetaMoon Music Festival will inspire and create new and exciting opportunities for many of today’s Asian artists, from both here and abroad, to shine brightly, and engage their fans in this epic and unforgettable event,” said Geoff Gordon, Regional President, Live Nation Northeast.

The festival will be hosted by American rapper-comedian MC Jin with tickets still available online at seatgeek.com and barclayscenter.com.
