Jake’s mother Raquel reconciles with her estranged mom Tess
Barangay Magallanes, Lopez, Quezon—JAKE Cyrus, formerly known as Charice Pempengo has one less headache to solve after her mother has reportedly decided to reconcile and speak with her grandmother Tess again.
As in the saying, after a raging storm, the sun always shines.
This is what exactly what happened as far as Jake Zyrus’ closest and most loved- relatives are concerned at the moment.
After a series of personal attacks of Tess Pineda on Jake Zyrus—who the old woman still considers a woman she knows as Charice Pempengco—on her children, one of them Raquel Pempengco, Jake’s mother and her other kids who she said are scattered all over the Philippines (“one lives in Mindoro, the other one stays in Barangay Magallanes in Lopez, Quezon etc.”), all is well that ends well with the matriarch and Raquel.
“Magkasama ngayon ang nanay ko at si Raquel sa Pagbilao (My mom and Raquel are together in Pagbilao),” informed Obet Pineda, Tess’ son who lives and works in this town.
“Kaya lang, madalas din silang hindi magkaintindihang mag-ina (But the trouble us, mother and daughter also don’t sit well with each other most of the time),” prompted Obet who works in a copra factory in this community.
According to the Pineda guy, he wanted to adopt his mom in this barangay but he said that there are limitations.
“Wala akong makitang matitirhan dito ng nanay ko (But the thing is, I can’t find a place here where my mom can stay),” he explained.
After old woman Tess sobbingly appealed by filming herself on cellphone camera which she sent to media man Raffy Tulfo for financial support and a request of a sewing machine, she later disclosed that she was snubbed and thrown iced water in plastic containers by neighbors of her daughter in Pagbilao when she went there, Raquel readily called on her mother and got to live with her.
In all these family feuds, Jake has still to share her side of the story.
