Avengers fans can now "team up with the Avengers and their allies and live out their Super Hero dreams" at the new Avengers Campus in California, slated for opening this June.

Avengers Campus consists of several heroic locations, each hosted by a different Avenger to share their unique powers, technology and knowledge with recruits

AVENGERS assemble!

Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure Park will open on June 4, 2021, just a couple of months after the Disneyland parks reopen.

It was originally scheduled for opening last June 2020, but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In a press briefing and blog post, Disney executives offered new details about the widely anticipated Marvel-ized area of the park.

Patrons will be “invited to team up with the Avengers and their allies and live out their Super Hero dreams,” the blog post promised.

“Avengers Campus consists of several heroic locations, each hosted by a different Avenger to share their unique powers, technology and knowledge with recruits.”

Disney describes this soon-to-open land as “immersive” in all things Avengers.

One area, the Worldwide Engineering Brigade (or WEB) will center on Spider-Man.

It will feature WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure, the first Disney ride-through attraction with Spidey, who will be voiced by Tom Holland.

Interestingly, the feature film franchise is a rare Marvel property that, for complicated reasons, does not belong to Disney. But the company can mine it for theme parks.

Other elements of the new campus include a Guardians of the Galaxy-themed attraction that opened in 2017, a Doctor Strange section and encounters with a number of Marvel characters roaming the grounds.

The Avengers themselves will also be found around campus doing what they do best — helping keep the world safe.

This will even include a Spider-Man “stuntronic” who shoots webs that allow him to flip and “fly” through the sky high above the Avenger Campus.

Tom Holland will be reprising his role as Spider-Man through innovative technology specifically created for this attraction. (NP)
