In changing the name of his vlog, Restaurateur and vlogger Erwan Heussaff teases that FEATR will feature the same content but has “more.”
The channel, formerly named Erwan Heussaff as “The Fat Kid Inside” started in 2006 and has over 2M subscribers
RESTAURATEUR and vlogger Erwan Heussaff announced on Tuesday that his YouTube channel The Fat Kid Inside and other online channels named under him are now rebranded as FEATR.
FEATR, which stands for “Food, Encounter, And Travel,” and pronounced as “feature” will now be the flagship brand of The Fat Kid Inside Studios moving forward.
The channel, formerly named Erwan Heussaff as “The Fat Kid Inside” started in 2006 and has over 2M subscribers.
His content heavily revolves around Filipino food, recipes, and destinations. Erwan teases that FEATR will feature the same content but has “more.”
Erwan explained in a 15-minute video titled “I’m Leaving YouTube” that he will be focusing “the business…and producing other shows, with other hosts, and other people.”
He noted that he started featuring other culinary experts and enthusiasts in his videos back in 2019 and was planning to gently ease into a rebranding until the pandemic hit in 2020.
He goes on to explain that the studio employs 14 people and to keep supporting them during the pandemic, he had to juggle producing content and being a first-time father.
Last year, Erwan was based in Melbourne, Australia, and had to shoot videos on his own without his team.
The rebranded channel will still feature Erwan as host but will also include new chefs, hosts, and Filipino content creators. FEATR is open to collaborators, content creators, production companies, and brands.
Since the video, FEATR dropped a new video featuring Chef Martin, the studio’s food editor, in a new series titled Mashups “where we take all of your favorite dishes or desserts and try to make them into crave-worthy dishes.”
Other shows teased in Erwan’s video include Still Filipino, 81 Provinces, and Pandemic Kitchens.
For those looking for more Erwan Heussaff content, he will be starting a new channel that will show more behind-the-scenes footage and more personal videos. (HD)
