THE departed veteran actor Eddie Garcia and his son are now united in the great beyond.
Erwin Garcia, the biological son of the respected and award-winning actor—died of cirrhosis this morning ironically on his birthday in a still undisclosed hospital.
According to the Facebook post of Catherine Freeman, a friend of the Garcias—even if she didn’t specify the cause of his death—said Erwin had a stage 4 illness when asked by socialite Cindy de Leon.
Meanwhile, entertainment writer Renz Spangler posted in his social media pages the exchanges of his conversations when Erwin was reported to have been rushed to the hospital.
“Bad news meron ulit ako (I have again) C cell 4.2 cm sa (in my) liver admit ako sa (on) Wednesday para (for) microwave RFA procedure eradicate yun (the) C cell,” Garcia informed Renz.

He was also all over the social media connecting with movie and television people, most of them friends and colleagues of his dad.
This early, many of Erwin’s virtual and in-person friends have just sent their deepest sympathies to the Garcias, particularly to his partner Annabelle Vicente.
They include directors Arman Reyes, Benedict Mique and Chito Rono, actresses Vangie Labalan, Angela Perez and Dexter Doria and writer Pablo Tariman.
