Home is where the heart is.

Veteran radio and TV broadcaster Faye Romero cannot resist going back to her roots.

After many years of being abroad in Canada and the US, Faye is in town for a short visit to rekindle ties with fellow media men.

Nakaka-miss ang (I miss) Philippine media,” exclaimed Romero who arrived Wednesday morning to meet up with visual artist and filmmaker Bon Labora for possible projects.
“In case I retire in the Philippines, I would like to pursue what I had left off. I really love the broadcast industry and marketing as well,” said Faye who last attended on January 14, 2023 the launch of this writer’s new book “SekSinema (Gender Images in Philippine Sex Cinema Enfolding Pandemia)” at the Philippine Expressions Bookshop in San Pedro, CA.
“I miss the fun and excitement of show business,” disclosed the broadcaster.

Before Romero had embarked on migrating to Canada and the US, she was a sought- after announcer on DZEC with her popular daily evening advice show, “Sincerely Yours” which ran on the airwaves for more than a decade.

Prior to her stint with Eagle Broadcasting Corporation (EBC), Faye had boarded the AM bands of DZXQ, DZME, DWSS, DWBL etc.

“Once a broadcaster, always a broadcaster,” she chuckled.
“I hope, next year is an ideal time to return to broadcasting,” divulged Romero.

She is set to reconnect with her fellow media men not only in DZEC but other networks as well.

Faye is also in town to attend a school reunion in Pampanga, her home province.
