Summer fever is definitely back as Disney announces two brand new seasons for ‘Phineas and Ferb’.

If you’re in a summer vacation mode all yearround watching two kids invent things spontaneously, then you’re in for a treat!

Disney Branded TV and co-creator of ‘Phineas and Ferb,’ will team up for a newly- inked deal that will include the revival of the much loved animation about a never- ending summer which features the titular characters Phineas and Ferb.

The Disney original series aired on Disney Channel and Disney XD from 2008-2015, created by writer/animator Povenmire and Jeff “Swampy” Marsh about two stepbrothers who come up with larger-than-life projects during their seemingly endless summer vacation.

According to Kid Screen, the new overall deal will include two new seasons of Phineas and Ferb, for 40 episodes in total, and a second season of Povenmire’s 2D-animated superhero comedy Hamster & Gretel (13 x 22 minutes), which debuted in August on Disney Channel.

“Dan is renowned for his ability to create universally- beloved stories and characters with both heart and humor,” said Ayo Davis, president of Disney Branded Television, during the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
“We couldn’t be happier to continue our collaboration with him and bring back the iconic ‘Phineas and Ferb’ in a big way.”

However, Marsh’ involvement in the return of the beloved series is still underway and as to when the series will premier is still uncertain at this point.

“It has been the greatest pleasure of my career to see how an entire generation of kids and parents have embraced the characters and the humor of ‘Phineas and Ferb,'” Povenmire, who also lent his voice to Dr. Heinz Doofenshmirtz, said in an interview as reported by Variety. “I’m eagerly looking forward to diving back into the show for them and for a whole new generation.”
