What are the chances of the ten entries to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) at the box-office when they recently opened the Manila International Film Festival (MIFF) in Los Angeles, California?
At the moment, Dingdong Dantes, one of the lead actors of "Rewind" - a Star Cinema entry to the 49th MMFF which is still the top-grosser in the Philippine exhibition -is in the US as one of the guest stars in the festival.
According to Dingdong, he is very excited and honored to be part of the very first MIFF in the US.
In his Facebook page, Dantes penned his thoughts in the event:
"Honored to have opened our film, 'Rewind,' at the first-ever Manila Film Festival in Hollywood. I commend the efforts of the MMFF, MMDA, and the entire industry for showcasing 10 beautiful films on the international stage. Another proud Pinoy moment, and another proud moment as a filmmaker and artist. Even prouder as the co-actor of my wife, whose heartwarming performance was witnessed by our audience last night."
During the opening, Dingdong delivered his inspirational talk to the delight of the audience.
