“Demon Slayer” gets own attraction at Universal Studios Japan

According to Universal Studios Japan, visitors will be able to “experience the fluid swordsmanship, and even the breathing of the hero Tanjiro Kamado and his fellow demon slayers.”

THE popular “Demon Slayer” series is getting its own attraction at the Universal Studios Japan in Osaka for a limited time starting September 17, this year.

According to the park’s operator, visitors will be able to “experience the fluid swordsmanship, and even the breathing of the hero Tanjiro Kamado and his fellow demon slayers.”

SJ hasn’t yet said what the attraction’s specific format will be, but the announcement hits that it may be some sort of 4-D Theater or VR attraction.

The limited attraction will run until February 3, 2022. Themed food and merchandise will also be made available during the run.

Fans can also look forward to seeing the characters introduce parts of the attraction on the park’s official Twitter account from July 1.

Demon Slayer is a manga by Koyoharu Gotouge, which is being published by Shueisha Jump Comic. It was adapted into a TV anime in 2019 by Ufotable.

The story follows Tanjiro Kamado and his sister Nezuko seeking a cure for her demon curse.

They join the Demon Slayer Corps, a group of humans with special breathing techniques known as “Breathing Styles.”

USJ is known for featuring popular anime as a limited attraction. Demon Slayer’s recently released animated movie titled, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba the Movie: Mugen Train has grossed 32.48 billion yen, surpassing cult favorite, Spirited Away.

The movie released in the Philippines last February in limited SM Cinema locations.
