There are a lot of comedians, big and small, as there are many industry problems besetting them.
Take the case of Jimmy Concepcion, the other in the duo Jack en Poy.
Jimmy, for lack of someone to consult with his concerns, turned to us merely to get the burden off his chest.
It is the case of counterfeiting a poster of a show which featured him.
“Maraming kasong ganyan. Halimbawa, nakita ko na lang ang isang poster sa may bandang north, nagulat ako, wala naman akong show do’n pero nakalagay ang mukha ko sa poster (There are a lot of cases like that. For example, I saw in one poster in the north which shocked me because I wasn’t in the show but my face was plastered on it).
“Sa Japan, tumawag sa akin ‘yong kaibigan ko, ang sabi, may show pala ako ro’n bakit hindi ko man lang siya sinabihan. Nakalagay raw sa poster ang pangalan at mukha ko pero nasa Pilipinas naman ako sa date ng (In Japan, a friend of my mine called and told me why I didn’t mention to him my show. My name and face were on a poster but I was in the Philippines at the time of the) show,” said Jimmy.
“Hindi na ako naghain ng kaso, kasi, magastos at kakain ng maraming oras (I didn’t file a case in court because it’s expensive and time consuming),” exclaimed Concepcion.
“Ang dami pa. Kaya nga nag-organisa kami ng grupo na binubuo ng mga nagtatanghal sa entablado (There are a lot of them. That’s why we organized a group composed of artists who perform onstage),” added the comic.
