Carla Abellana responds to comments about her negative actions towards ex-husband
Carla Abellana finally spoke up about the rumored end with husband Tom Rodriguez in the comments section of her YouTube channel, responding to a viewer to defend herself on June 14.
Abellana took time to reply to the commenters who were bashing her for liking certain posts allegedly about Tom on social media.
“Ang taong lubos na nasaktan hirap pong pigilang hindi ilabas ang galit sa anumang paraan,” she explained in the comments of her June 3 vlog.
“I was disrespected. I was betrayed. I was lied to. I was used. I was shamed. I was made to look so stupid,” she said.
The actress stressed that she did not do anything to hurt Tom aside from liking the post, and that she has given him nothing but love, respect, care, understanding, patience, forgiveness, and trust.
“Binigay ko po buong buhay ko sa kanya. 7 na taon po akong bawal magalit, magtampo, masaktan, mabigo, malungkot, madismaya dahil hindi po pwede. Makakatikim po ako kahit subukan ko pong ipaliwanag sa kanya na nasasaktan niya ako at hindi po tama ang mga ginagawa niya. Paulit-ulit ko pong pinapaalala sa kanya na hindi po ako kalaban at mabuti po ang kalooban at intensyon ko. 7 na taon pong naipon sa loob ko lahat yun,” she said.
She referred to the seven years that he courted her and in between lived in with each other and had been a couple on and off the set.
The couple tied the knot on October 23, 2021 but rumors of their breakup already surfaced 3 months later when they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
However, neither of the parties made any official statement regarding the issue but Rodriguez was seen posting cryptic photos of breaking free from the hand chain and one that showed an explosion.
Also in a deleted post, he claimed in the comment section that he was allegedly given a gag order, forbidding him to speak up about the matter.
Abellana ended her statement by saying that she is not a bad person as what she had been made to appear in the media and that what people see online is just a fraction of what actually happened.
