Empire Philippines crowned a new set of beauty titleists on the recently concluded final night of The Filipino Festival (TFF). Bulakeña beauty, Alethea Ambrosio, succeeded Miss Supranational 2023 as the first runner-up, reigning in the title of Miss Philippines, Pauline Amelinckx. Guam’s Representative, Brandon Espiritu, won the Mister Philippines.
Surprisingly, TFF has yet to announce which international pageants are the Top 4 Miss Philippines and Top 6 Mister Philippines competing.
In the back-to-back coronation, hosts announced that they had all secured the spot to represent the Philippines in the different international pageants and would have a separate award ceremony in February 2024.
Among the Top 4 Miss Philippines are Issa De Los Santos from Mandaluyong, Cebu City’s Bet Chantal Elise Schmidt, and Blessa Ericha Figueroa of Northern California.
On the other hand, among the Top 6 Mister Philippines are Anthony Cunningham from the United Kingdom, Bulacan’s bet Jordan San Juan, Justine Ong of Tacloban, Emerson Gomez of Tarlac, and California’s Dom Corilla.
Completing the Filipino Festival celebration of Filipino culture and heritage, Lyndon Dalida was raised to be the Best Fashion Designer, while the Best Song Award was bagged by Allen Cecillo, Rein Hilary, Diwa-Joana, Marie Crisanto, and Adrian Crisanto for their original, Higit pa sa Ganda. The Best Short Film award, on the other hand, was given to Taymsa (One Moment).
The revolutionary beauty pageant underwent several reformattings, making it uniquely Filipino to celebrate culture and heritage. It is the first beauty pageant to include the glamorous red-carpet segment for formal wear, reinvent the question-and-answer portion to include TED-Talks types of speeches, and remove the swimsuit competition.
Now, all eyes are on these phenomenal new pageant royalties, who will bring the coveted international crowns to the Philippines.
