SoFi Stadium draws backlash after security and health concerns were raised during the BTS concert.
AFTER halting physical concerts in the past two years, the biggest South Korean band BTS finally kickstarted their ‘Permission To Dance On Stage’ world tour with a live concert at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.
The 7-member boy band consisting of Jin, V, Suga, RM, Jimin, J.Hope, and Jungkook, greeted their American fans with high energy performances and electrifying sets that took the whole ARMY to a frenzy.
However, the frenzy was a bit too much as concerns over security were raised on the first day of the 4-day concert of BTS.
On the first date on November 27, fans were filling the area surrounding the venue all day in the hopes of buying some merch and meeting friends before the show.
In particular, there were a lot of photo spots to take cute selfies to get excited about the show.
When it got closer to the show, fans shared stories of the chaos that was happening near the entrance of the venue.
In particular, as the crowd was only let in with less than an hour left until the show started, many shared that the staff was no longer checking tickets, bags, or vaccination cards.
The organizers drew a lot of flaks as fans started sharing on social media the unruly situation during the concert.
One fan claimed that the concert was delayed because of the volume of people coming in and the lack of organisation from SoFi stadiums officials.
One Twitter user, meanwhile, shared a video of a packed crowd outside the stadium just less than an hour after the concert had began.
In response, the management at SoFi released a statement through TMZ denying the allegations.
“The safety of guests, staff and artists has always been our number one priority and will temporarily streamline guest admission at last night’s show. Coordinated with law enforcement tonight, we will increase security and guest entry points and begin vaccination verification earlier in the entry process.“
BTS will hold the remaining dates for 'Permission to Dance on Stage' on December 1 and 2 at the same Los Angeles stadium.
