BTS and James Corden clear the air about the insensitive monologue.

BTS and group-proclaimed “Papa Mochi” aka James Corden clears the air surrounding the insensitive monologue that had the whole ARMY, the fandom of BTS, turn against the popular late night show host.

In his show last September 21, Corden mocked BTS’ address by terming it ‘unusual’, and further generalized ARMY, the fandom of BTS, to a group of ‘15-year-old teenage girls’.

“The United Nations General Assembly kicked off this morning in New York City, and it started with some pretty unusual visitors: BTS were there. BTS visited the UN. Although lots of people are saying why are BTS there, the world leaders have no choice but to take BTS seriously. BTS has one of the largest ARMY on the planet earth. Historic moment. It actually marks the first time that 15 year-old-girls everywhere found themselves wishing that they were Secretary General António Guterres,” Corden said in his monologue.

Last night, the 7-member band visited The Late Show with James Corden and it did not take them long to bring up the issue.

It was the BTS leader RM that brought the topic to the host over his well-being after being in hot waters for his remark. The leader asked, “James, how about you? You been in some hot waters with ARMY. Are you alright?”

Which Corden replied. "We did two jokes which I didn't think were in any way offensive to anybody." Recalling his comments on BTS at the UN summit and the fans of the group, he continued, “And we said this was where I think it was wrong, we said that your fans were 15-year-old girls.”

Along with his members Jin, V, Suga, J.Hope, Jimin, and Jungkook, RM let the host clear his side.

Corden then added. "It of course isn't true because I'm 43 years old and I consider myself one of the biggest BTS fans on planet earth. I've never been on that side of the ARMY before."

He said that someone told him they hoped he died, which he felt was 'extreme in response to quite two harmless jokes'.

After James explained further about his comment, RM smiled and said, "James it's okay, we appreciate your apology. Wanted to clear that up." James then asked Jimin, "Am I still papa mochi?" Jimin responded, "Papa mochi, I believe you."

So now, ARMY has nothing to be worried about as the global superstars have forgiven Corden, And, hopefully the host learned his lesson to NEVER mess with BTS or their fans.
