SVT’s Seungkan, DK and Hoshi or BSS will make a return with a single album after five years of hiatus.
The boys from the international sensation K-pop boy group SEVENTEEN are yet to slow down after wrapping up their ‘Be The Sun’ world tour as a subunit is bound for a comeback with a new single album next month.
A teaser poster was released on Monday, January 9 at midnight KST by Pledis Entertainment announcing that BSS – comprising members Seungkwan, DK and Hoshi – or “BooSeokSoon”-- whose real names are Boo Seungkwan, Lee Seokmin, and Kwon Soonyoung, with DK serving as the unit’s leader, will be returning after almost five years since their subunit debut.
NME said SEVENTEEN’s BSS subunit was first launched in 2018 with the digital single ‘Just Do It,’ a song co-produced by bandmate and boyband’s lead producer Woozi and has performed the song at fan-meetings with a delayed release of a music video.
The trio will release their single album on February 6, as posted on their teaser which contains the phrase “Ladies and gentlemen they call us BSS,” lyrics from their first single but details such as the song title and the tracklist are yet to be revealed in the following weeks.
Speculations of the subunit’s new project came to life after the fans were keen enough to notice new merchandise listed below “BSS” section in their site, with the announcement coming not long after.
BSS’ comeback caps off the group’s eventful 2022, including the “BeTS” world tour, which kicked off in Seoul, South Korea in June 2022 and included a total of 29 shows across North America and Asia.
Apart from BSS’ comeback, the first official teaser for the second season of 'In the Soop' with a healing and recreational vibe that energized the members after a hectic year in 2022 will be available on Weverse from January 28th, which will be released weekly at 8 PM KST every Saturday and Sunday, reported AllKpop.
