"Yehey, Brillante Mendoza is in the international film scene again," exclaimed Filipino entertainment journalist Danny Vibas.
Yes, after doing--directing or producing--local films particularly for Viva Entertainment's live streaming platform Vivamax, Brillante Ma. Mendoza is back in the international film stage not only to screen his outings but to sit at film festival juries and handle masterclasses in filmmaking as well.
Right after his personal activities like hosting parties for showbiz denizens not excluding his and friends' natal days and other special occasions or organizing film screenings in various parts of the Philippines as part of his cultural work advocacies, Mendoza would feed this writer upon inquiry of his next destinations--United States of America.
"I would go to Los Angeles, California to do meetings and other film festival activities," informed Dante Mendoza, the other screen name of the internationally acclaimed filmmaker.
At Spotlight Film Festival in Florida, Mendoza was President of the Jury. He also held a masterclass to interested filmmakers across the globe.
In India, Brillante spoke on current trend in world moviemaking using footage of his past titles at the International Film Festival India (IFFI) in Goa where his film "Moro" was screened.
Meanwhile, in Kazakhstan, Dante conducted masterclasses, too, on filmmaking for fellow artists.
He was also in Hiroshima, Japan for various film events.
"The international audiences and filmmakers are always receptive of my classes," reported Mendoza.
