OPM "Jukebox Queen" Claire dela Fuente has passed away today (March 30) due to cardiac arrest, according to sources.
She was 62 years old.
Dela Fuente’s passing was confirmed by composer/producer Jonathan Manalo who is close to the family, according to a report by ABS-CBN.
Dela Fuente, a popular OPM singer during the 1980's, was known for her string of hit songs that include "Sayang," "Minsan Minsan," and Nakaw na Pag-ibig."
She was also prominent in the Philippine transport scene as the former operator of bus company Philippine Corinthian Liner, Inc., and as the former president of the Integrated Metro Bus Operators Association (IMBOA). (ONT)
