Absence of talent to paint on canvas and installate art makes the heart grow ponder.

This must be the train of thoughts of Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. when he attended, cut ceremonial ribbon and spoke at the opening of an art exhibit of fellow actors' collective effort billed as "Screenscapes" at the White Room of the International House, SEMEO INNOTECH in Diliman, Quezon City Wednesday, January 10.

It was indeed Bong's desire.

"Kung nakakapagpinta lang ako (If I could only paint)," exclaimed Revilla, Jr. when I asked him in one corner of the gallery while in a photo-op with the actress and show participant if he is into visual arts.

Gusto ko talaga (I really want to)," the action star quipped.

In his speech during the event, Bong praised the beauty and creativity of his colleagues in the acting field.

"Ang gagaling. Ang gaganda. Nakakamangha ang mga talento ng mga kasamahan ko. Hindi ko akalain na ganito kahuhusay ang mga gawa nila (How excellent. How beautiful. I am amazed at the talents of my colleagues in showbiz. I didn't know they could create this good)," smiled the senator.

Bong was particularly impressed with an installation art of a faceless human figure with a head of a banana created by actor John Paul Duray.

In a larger sense, Revilla said in his interview with television news channels that he would support the interest in the arts of Filipino actors.
