The film will feature some of the group’s most special moments, as well as unreleased interviews and “Beauty” images focused individually on Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo.

Landing in more than 100 countries worldwide, BLACKPINK THE MOVIE will be in cinemas on August 4 and 8 depending on your location.

The movie will arrive as one of five parts of the K-pop quartet’s upcoming “4+1 PROJECT.” Not much has been revealed so far, but Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo will unveil never-before-seen moments through diverse sequences including “The Room of Memories,” “Beauty” and “Exclusive Interviews.

The groundbreaking documentary chronicles the epic moments that catapulted them into the global spotlight.

With never-before-seen footage of their rehearsals and personal reflections on their stardom, the bandmates refreshingly open up on the intimate parts of fame.

Celebrating their fifth anniversary, BLACKPINK is working on a special “4+1 PROJECT” for their fans.

Now, YG Entertainment has announced that the K-pop quartet has a new movie on the way as part of the scheme.

Live footage from their 2018 In Your Area tour and their 2021 The Show livestream concert looks back at their monumental start and glorious reign as one of the most popular global girl groups to date.

The movie’s release is in tandem with their fifth anniversary celebration, “4+1 Project.” And from the snippets of the sit-down interviews, the film also lands as an ode to the girl squad’s beloved BLINKS.

“I want to say thank you for always supporting me, and that’s all,” Lisa tearfully remarked in the clip.

Premiering globally, BLACKPINK THE MOVIE is set to arrive on August 8, which is when BLACKPINK debuted back in 2016.

The film will feature some of the group’s most special moments, as well as unreleased interviews and “Beauty” images focused individually on Jennie, Rosé, Lisa and Jisoo.

On top of that, the production will reveal re-edited footage of BLACKPINK’s THE SHOW and IN YOUR AREAconcerts to deliver a virtual yet realistic show for BLINKs.

CGV, one of South Korea‘s largest cinema chains, will play the movie with “Screen X” and “4DX” formats for an immersive experience. (NP)
