Since 2018, Pinoy pop group BINI has been undergoing training and mentoring sessions with top caliber artists in the local industry. Now they’re hinting that they’re ready to take on the music world by storm.
BINI teases debut: “Are you ready for BINIverse?”
Twitterverse in the Philippines is abuzz after Pinoy pop girl group BINI dropped a QR code which leads to an image that reads “Are you ready for BINIverse?” early Tuesday morning (May 4).
BINI is an 8-member group consisting of Aiah, Colet, Maloi, Gwen, Stacey, Mikha, Jhoanna and Sheena, formed through ABS-CBN’s Star Hunt Academy back in 2018, who has yet to debut.
“BINI” comes from “binibini,” which means young lady in Tagalog.
The group aims to represent what it means to be a modern Filipina while being an inspiration to the youth through their songs.
“BINI means being able to represent the modern Filipina, who are aware and proactive. Gusto naming sabihin sa buong mundo kung anong meron ang mga kabataan ngayon,” BINI shared in an interview with Bandwagon.

Showing the nation what can be expected of them, BINI performed their pre-debut single, bubblegum-pop remake of Ryan Cayabyab’s “Da Coconut Nut”, on Filipino variety show “It’s Showtime,” which made waves on the internet as well as gaining supporters both locally and internationally.
The octet also went on to cover TWICE’s hit title track “Yes or Yes” on “ASAP today!” which received generous comments from Filipino fans known as Once, backing that given how this was their first learnt choreography, they exceeded the nation’s expectation.
BINI has yet to announce a date for their debut or even a glimpse of their concept.
However, the intriguing post made today was enough to spark the curiosity of their followers causing more buzz for their awaited debut.
