Where are the big female stars during the consultation with the movie and television workers on the passage of the Eddie Garcia Bill already approved by the House of Representatives but still languishing in the Senate?
During the dialogue among stakeholders in the local entertainment industry held at the Emar Suites at Shaw Boulevard in Mandaluyong City, most of the attendees were big action if not drama stars led by Jinggoy Estrada, Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr., Robin Padilla who are senators of the republic.
Male superstars like Cesar Montano, Aga Muhlach, Ronnie Ricketts, Tirso Cruz III, Phillip Salvador, among others, were also around to participate in the forum.
"Gusto po naming makatulong na maibalik ang sigla ng pelikulang Pilipino (We want to help bring back the enthusiasm of the public in watching movies)," said Bong Revilla, Jr. in a soft voice while he was being shot and recorded in the video apparently handled by Rey Bustria Martin David, a movie bit player who was and still is the masseur of a lot of stars, dead or living.
The video was uploaded in David's Facebook Messenger.
Jinggoy took the podium as the covenor and vessel of the discussions who scrutinizes the Eddie Garcia Bill, a measure that can solve the problems of actors and actresses in health safety, regular working hours, adjustment in talent fees etc.
Many people in diverse areas from show business to corporate ladder, though, were asking the absence of big female stars during the convocation.
Incidentally, it was Imelda Papin together with Arlene Muhlach, Nadia Montenegro and some other actresshowed up during the dialogue.
Many people were asking about the presence of Nora Aunor, Vilma Santos, Alma Moreno, Sharon Cuneta, Snooky Serna, Maricel Soriano, Rhian Ramos, Marian Rivera, Judy Ann Santos, Lea Salonga, Angel Locsin, Bea Alonzo, Claudine Barretto, Julia Barretto, to name only a few.
"Mabuti at nakapunta ang mga tulad nina Senator Bong Reviĺla at Robin Padilla (It's good that the senators were able to attend," said Rey David.
Most of the people in the hall expected that Jinggoy, Bong and Robin would push for the bill in the Upper Chamber.
