BGYO announces second album to be released almost a year after their debut in 2021 with the album ‘The Light’ with an additional concert in the future.

P-pop boy band BGYO announced their upcoming sophomore album due to be released, during the group’s guest appearance on ’It’s Showtime’ on Tuesday.

In addition, the group also confirmed that a solo concert is in the works after the unveiling of BGYO’s official light stick, which went on sale in August.

“Naghahanda kami ng bagong music. May bago po kaming album na darating at solo concert po,” the group’s leader, Gelo Rivera, told host Vice Ganda.

Aside from announcing the concert on ‘It’s Showtime,’ BGYO treated the madlang people to an energetic performance of its latest single, “Tumitigil Ang Mundo.”

Additional details about the upcoming new album were not disclosed but would arrive roughly a year after their 2021 debut release ‘The Light’.

BGYO last held a major concert, ‘One Dream,’ which was co-headlined by labelmates girl group BINI and later on went to join music festivals featuring other P-pop groups in the past year.

The group had been busy the past months after releasing ‘Patuloy Lang Ang Lipad,’ the theme song for the TV comeback of popular 2000s Filipina superhero series Darna in August.

In July, BGYO released their single ‘Tumitigil Ang Mundo’ on all streaming platforms and was accompanied by an energizing music video featuring the group’s five members having fun and performing the track at the theme park, Enchanted Kingdom.

BGYO are set to join veteran singer Jonathan Manalo at his ‘Mr. Music: The Hits of Jonathan Manalo’ 20th anniversary concert at the Newport Performing Arts Theater in Manila on October 15, joining some 30 confirmed acts including Gary Valenciano, Kyla, KZ Tandingan, Jed Madela, Angeline Quinto, Moira dela Torre and labelmates BINI.

The pinoy act is composed of five male members namely, Gelo Rivera, 20; Akira Morishita, 20; Mikki Claver, 19; JL Toreliza, 19; and Nate Porcalla, 18.
