Home is where the heart is.
This is what 1982 Binibining Pilipinas-Universe and actress Maria Isabel Lopez also believes in however she's living most of the time in the United States of America.
"I am still a Filipina," she once exclaimed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic when she wanted to go home to the Philippines but was stuck in the US for strict health emergency protocols.
During the easing up of the health crisis, though, Maria Isabel keeps on coming to the country either for work or family business.
For the fourth time since the pandemic, Maribel has come to town once more to spend the holiday season in her birthplace.
Lopez recently arrived home to attend the Christmas party of the stars of the 80s, especially bold actresses, to be held in Barangay Sto. Domingo in Quezon City.
"My colleague and contemporary Amanda Amores has organized a Christmas get-together with the bold stars of the 80s," informed Maribel.
"These bold stars are the subjects of your book, SekSinema, so it's quite interesting," she commented.
Among the expected guests are Liz Alindogan, Vida Verde, Cristina Crisol, Sarsi Emmanuelle, Myra Manibog, Maureen Mauricio, Pia Moran, Janice Jurado, Myrna Castillo, among others.
Maria Isabel flew to town after the opening reception of the art exhibit of the Members Show at the Sebastopol Center for the Arts in Sebastopol, California where her art work "The Trees of Sebastopol," a mixed media mosaic art of smalti, glass and natural stones was shown.
