Philippine show business is mourning the death on February 21, 2022 of award-winning filmmaker Eduardo Roy, Jr., the director behind the game-changing screen opuses as “Bahay Bata,” “Quick Change,” “Pamilya Ordinaryo,” “Lola Igna” and “Fuccbois.”

The announcement of Eduardo’s death by family took a considerable time because they wanted to spend privacy and to recollect the happy memories her shared with them.

Roy, Jr. breathed his last at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City.

“Edong,” as he was addressed by kith and kin, died of massive pulmonary embolism due to hospital acquired pneumonia, according to his immediate family.

“He had been diagnosed late last year with Burkitt’s Lymphoma Stage IV,” read the statement.

A wake will be held on February 24 to 26, 2022 at the Arlington Memorial Hapels Hall in G. Araneta Avenue, Quezon City.

Edong was 41.

Our deepest condolences to the Roys.
