Take Taylor Swift centered course at NYU.

While there are so many courses and subjects to take in college, many students are still unsure of what to enroll for. But as a die hard Swiftie, are you willing to enroll in a Taylor Swift-centered course?

In January of this year, New York University's Clive Davis Institute launched the first-ever U.S. college course centered on the superstar "All Too Well" singer. The class, entitled “Topics in Recorded Music: Taylor Swift,” is a part of the school’s Writing, History and Emergent Media Studies department offering classes in the history of popular music, a deep dive into the music and art of superstar musicians.

“Taylor Swift is one of the pre-eminent musical superstars of the 21st century and given her status as a multi-faceted singer songwriter and entrepreneur, has long been a personal favorite of many of our students,” Chair Jason King told the Daily News Thursday about the 11-time Grammy winner.

According to the course description on the school website, the class “proposes to deconstruct both the appeal and aversions to Taylor Swift through close readings of her music and public discourse as it relates to her own growth as an artist and a celebrity.”

Students will also delve into an analysis of culture, teen girlhood, fandom and examine the politics of race in contemporary pop music, consider the legacy of country and pop music, and more.

Taught by Rolling Stone magazine staff writer and NYU alum Brittany Spanos, the 20-student course is an elective currently being taught at the school’s campus from January 26 to March 9.

Students are in very good hands with Ms. Spanos. She is a major Swiftie as well as an NYU alumni. She told Variety that "I've been covering Taylor Swift since I began my writing career a decade ago and have been a super fan of hers for even longer," calling it "such an honor" to be able to share her Swiftie expertise with the class.

For now it’s only open to NYU students, and it's unknown whether the course will be offered again during future semesters.
