The fighting spirit lives on.

This is what Angel Locsin embodies when she confronted the disheartening results of the 2022 elections especially in the presidential bout where she betted for VP Leni who is lagging behind the vote counts against Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.

Instead of wallowing in the sad experience of the polls, Angel focuses on the bright side of the story, letting the embers of hope shine in her heart and mind to reflect on the attitude of rising above sadness.

“I understand na minsan mahirap, kaya kapag tingin ninyong kaya nyo na, ituloy ang ‘radikal na pagmamahal (It’s difficult but if you think that it’s already okay, let’s continue with the ‘radical love.’ Otherwise, hanggang slogan lang pala tayo kung ganun (it’s only in the slogan),” she invited her fellow hopefuls that something good will come up after the elections.
“To my fellow Leni volunteers, na-witness ko ang kakaibang passion na ibinigay natin sa eleksyong ito (the passion that we wielded in these elections). I am proud to have fought beside you to the very end. Taas noo (Don’t feel down, don’t lose hope because we gave all our best shots…without questions. We were selfless, dared to put ourselves on the line, our name and time at stake. We fought however it was hard—for our beliefs and for other people. It might seem impossible, we fought not only for one person but for the whole country. Even if the counting nears its end, let’s choose our country, the Philippines. Let’s continue to show concern and compassion for other people. I am praying that we will still see a Philippines that we have been dreaming about. Chin up).
“Salamat Mam Leni sa inspirasyon (Thanks for the inspiration),” she exclaimed.

Angel also encouraged the participation of Filipinos in volunteerism like in Angat Buhay Foundation drive which will be launched on July 1, 2022.
