The 7-year show FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano will end in August.

In three weeks, television's longest-running series of 7 years-- FPJ's Ang Probinsiyano"--will finally air its last episode.

The series’ lead actor Coco Martin broke the news with a video announcement shared by ABS-CBN Executive Deo Endrinal on Instagram.

First aired on Sept. 28, 2015 on ABS-CBN, the show was extended several times because of its high ratings.

Every year, FPJ's Ang Probinsyano would be reported to be ending but it would continue airing on TV.

Even though the network franchise was discontinued, the series adaptation continued to air on the online platform.

Aside from Coco Martin who plays the titular role of Cardo Dalisay, the series’ star-studded cast included the late Eddie Garcia, Lorna Tolentino, John Arcilla, Angel Aquino, Yassi Pressman, Jaime Fabregas, Tirso Cruz III, the late Susan Roces, and many more Filipino stars.

Though teleserye fans need not worry with this news. It was announced that the new adaptation of Mars Ravelo's Darna will replace FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and will air its pilot episode on August 15, 2022. Starring Jane De Leon, Joshua Garcia, Janella Salvador and Zaijan Jaranilla completes a star-studded cast fitting to replace an iconic tv series.
