It was indeed a holiday for actress Andrea del Rosario when she and daughter Bea went out on a longer trip and a farther off place like Boracay two years after the lockdown because of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.

“You know naman how restrictive our actions were during this pandemic but when they announced that Boracay was already open to tourists we immediately packed our things up and flew to the paradise,” smiled Andrea in a virtual mediacon for the short film “Pugon” slated to be shown in the IndieNation section of the 17th Cinemalaya Philippine Independent Film Festival which reels off on Friday, August 6, 2021.

Normally, any out-of-town trip would be with her boyfriend, polo player Anthony Garcia, son of beauty queen Carolyn Masibay.

Nagpunta sa Amerika si Anthony (He went to the US) for a playoff),” informed Andrea. “Sayang nga. Mas masaya kung nandito rin si Anthony (It’s regrettable, indeed. It should have been happier if Anthony were around),” she quipped sadly.

While in Boracay, Andrea has to bring her medicines for her In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) treatment because she wants to have another baby.

“I have been taking medicines which have been affecting me emotionally and physically but I am lucky I can still do it,” she assured.

Happiness for del Rosario is giving Anthony their most cherished child.

Masuwerte pa rin ako at may Bea ako pero paano ‘yong gusto pang magkaanak, di ba (I am luckier because I have Bea but how about those childless couple who still want to have babies?),” she said emphatically.

Meanwhile, Andrea and her co-stars in “Pugon” like Soliman Cruz, Jhassy Busran, Cassie Kim and Bamboo B. with their director Gabby Ramos were my guests in my show in Channel 31 which beamed in the whole country including Quezon Province.
