The popular lockdown game ‘Among Us’ will be available for PlayStation and Xbox this coming December.

CAN'T get enough of catching who is the impostor in your group with just your handphone? The very popular ‘Among Us’ game is finally heading to Xbox and PlayStation this December.

Last year, the role-playing game called Among Us suddenly reached the top out of nowhere.

Although the game has been around since 2018, many people turned to it because of the ongoing pandemic.

By August it had hit over 400,000 concurrent players on Steam alone, thanks in part to the simple premise, and facilitating multiplayer drama that was perfect for Twitch streams.

Among Us was named 2020’s most downloaded mobile game, and its developers have previously disclosed plans to improve gameplay with a new hide and seek mode and a fifth map.

The developers at Innersloth have spoken before about how they weren’t prepared for the game’s sudden influx of players, and have been racing to update it with new content and port it to more platforms since.

In an official news post, Xbox announced that "We’re excited to share the big news that Among Us is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and with Xbox Game Pass on December 14!" which was published on October 21. Earlier this year, Sony also announced that Among Us will be coming to popular PlayStation consoles which they confirmed three days ago. As mentioned earlier, cross-play will be available on Both Xbox and PlayStation consoles, as well as PC and mobile versions at a cost of $4.99 (Php 250).

The release notes on the official website of Innersloth, the creator og Among Us’, says "The Crewmate Edition will be sabotaging shelves in the UK and Europe on December 14, with a Japanese and South Korean release following shortly on December 16. The US, Canadian and Latin American release will follow on January 11, 2022."

Adding to it, the website mentions "The Impostor Edition and Ejected Edition will be launching later in Spring 2022 across multiple territories. Someone keeps turning the lights off in the warehouse, but everything is probably fine."
