It’s another feather in Allen Dizon’s cap.
Allen’s winning Best Actor at the recently concluded International Imago Film Festival held at Civitella del Tronto in Italy is a testament of his series of consistent fine screen performances.
“AbeNida,” directed by Louie Ignacio from the screenplay of Ralston Jover and produced by Baby F. Go BG Productions International is the Filipino film that brought honor not only to Dizon but to the whole nation as well.
According to writer and producer Dennis C. Evangelista, good friend from Italy, Benjamin Vasquez, accepted the award on Allen’s behalf.
“Special thanks also to our Italian friend Roby Borraccia for being with Benjamin and taking photos and video during the award ceremony,” said Dennis.
It was journalist Antonio D’Amore who cited that Dizon’s portrayal in the film was intense and painful. "Intense, complicated, painful, but still credible, even in the barely hinted nuances, the interpretation of Allen Dizon in ‘AbeNida’ is a very successful manifestation of true art,” said D’Amore.
Evangelista said that the award conferred to Allen at di Civitella del Tronto is his 50th acting award.
Meanwhile, the Italian plum is the actor’s 12th international Best Actor award to date.
