Immediately after he stepped on Philippine soil from France, award-winning director Adolf Alix, Jr. paid Nora Aunor a visit Thursday afternoon to echo what transpired in the showing of the National Artist for Film Lino Brocka’s restored copy of “Bona” at the 76th Cannes Film Festival.

“Happy to visit Ate Guy after my trip to Cannes. Told her about the successful first look of the restored copy of “Bona” at Marche du Film by Carlotta Films. She is looking forward to see the full restoration soon,” noted Adolf in his Facebook wall.

“Bona,” an NV Productions’ project about an adoring fan to her idol who she later turned her back against, starred Nora and Phillip Salvador is a landmark film done in 1980.

“And we are happy to announce that we are doing the SEQUEL to “Bona” by the last quarter of the year with Philip Salvador. What happened to Bona and Cardo after all these years?

“This is indeed exciting! Thank you Ate Guy for trusting me with this project. Let’s do this!’ exclaimed Adolf.
