Adele’s fourth studio album ‘30’ is out now.
Adele released her highly anticipated album ‘30’ --- and it did not disappoint.
The British singer released her anticipated fourth album 30, which she has described as her “ride or die throughout the most turbulent period of my life.”
Six years after her last record ‘25’ was released, Adele is back with her trademark brilliance.
‘30’ is made up of 12 personal songs, most of which are about the singer’s 2019 divorce to ex-husband Simon Konecki. 30 includes two features — jazz pianist Erroll Garner on “All Night Parking” and one special appearance on “My Little Love” by her son, Angelo Adkins, whom she shares with Konecki.
For 30, which was delayed due to the pandemic, the Grammy-winning singer reunites with 25 co-writers and producers Greg Kurstin, Max Martin, Tobias Jesso Jr. and Shellback, with Oscar-winning Black Panther composer Ludwig Göransson among album collaborators.
Within hours of its release, it has already topped the US iTunes album sales charts, edging out Taylor Swift's "Red (Taylor's Version)."
The record has crossed six million streams on Spotify since it dropped on Saturday and has been trending on social media platforms.
There had been much hype in the weeks preceding the release of 30, with the British singer first releasing the song "Easy on Me," then dropping the official track list, and finally opening up to US talk show host Oprah Winfrey in an interview broadcast last Sunday about the life events that inspired her latest album on a CBS two-hour special, "Adele — One Night Only."
While it’s still too early for music nominations, ‘30’ might just be a frontrunner for ‘Record of the Year’.
This will be a huge follow up to her overly successful record ‘25’. Her historic album 25, took home Album of the Year at the 59th Annual Grammy Awards.
She also won Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album in 2017. Worldwide success was greatly enjoyed by her singles in the album including “Hello”, “Send My Love (To Your New Lover)”, and “When We Were Young”.
