Romano became popular when he joined the youth-oriented TV show “That’s Entertainment” in the 1980s.
Controversial actor Romano Vasquez died Sunday evening (January 23) at his home in Cavite City.
This was confirmed by his wife Alma Panuelo Dila in her social media pages.
He was 51 years old.
Although the cause of Romano’s death wasn’t mentioned, he was reported to have been surrounded by his loved ones when he gasped for his last breath.
Romano became popular when he joined the youth-oriented TV show “That’s Entertainment” in the 1980s.
In the program, he was christened as a dead ringer to one of Sampaguita Pictures’ matinee idols in the 1960s Romeo Vasquez. Later, Romano was named after him except for two letters in his first name.
Before Romano died, he was already a famous and successful businessman.
Vasquez’s remains are kept and can be viewed at Imperial Crown Funeral Service (formerly Herald Funeral Services) located at Purok 6 Barangay De Ocampo, Trece Martires City, Cavite
