It seems that action stars, past and present, of Philippine cinema are being wooed to appear in the highly rated kick, kill and punch caper of ABS-CBN's "Batang Quiapo."
The latest to be featured in Coco Martin's TV series is Joseph Estrada "dead ringer" Rhene Imperial.
According to Rhene, he was requested by one of the staff of the show to send all requirements to the production including copies of his past movies.
"Gusto raw ni Coco makita ang aking (He wants to see my) profile," informed Imperial during our exclusive interview at his home in San Juan City.
"Nagpapasalamat naman ako kay Coco at naalala niya ako. Malaking karangalan ang mapabilang sa cast ng 'Batang Quiapo.' Ngayon pa lang, naghahanda na ako sa (I thank Coco for remembering me. It's an honor to be part of the cast of the show. As early as noe, I am preparing for the) shooting," gladly shared the controversial actor.
"Halos lahat na ng mga action star, nasa kanila na (Almost all action stars are with them already)," observed Rhene.
