FORMER Karilagan model and socialite Maria Corazon Esguerra Lozada fondly remembered actress Janet Bordon who died of stomach cancer in the US last Thursday (September 23).

Janet was 66 years old.
“Kaibigan ko siya kahit hindi pa siya artista. Magkapitbahay kami at magkalaro n’yan sa Cubao. Tapos, magkasama kaming nagmo-model noon kay Goullee Gorospe,” Esguerra told OpinYon.
Janet, who made a name for herself as a movie actress in films like “Ako si Emma…Babae,” “Biyak na Manyika,” “Star,” “Apat na Maria,” and “Virgin People”, had been battling the deadly disease for 30 years and had undergone at least nine operations.
Many of her friends and colleagues in and out of show business have expressed their utmost sadness and grief on Janet’s demise.
According to Bordon’s daughter Jay Bordon, her mom was surrounded by family by her deathbed.
“We were singing to her, showering her with love, and holding her…my heart is broken and I may never recover from this…there is no one like her…she was a special one,” sighed Jay. “ The moment I’ve been dreading my entire life just happened.”
Details of Janet’s funeral have not been announced yet.
