If you’re looking for a job at the airline industry, take note: Philippine Airlines (PAL) has cautioned the public regarding the existence of deceitful individuals who have created fraudulent Facebook accounts, with the intention of enticing the general public to apply for job positions at PAL.

According to the airline, these fraudsters require payment in return for helping with the application procedure, the airline said.

“We do not condone this illegal act and have taken steps to take down these accounts," PAL management said in a statement.

At present, META Philippines has successfully removed all fake accounts following the airline's report.

"As a reminder and for your protection, Philippine Airlines issues official announcements using PAL website www.philippineairlines.com  and the official PAL FB Page. PAL does not require any payment for application processing,” the airline also stressed.

The airline management has asked the public to report any suspicious social media account using the name of PAL. This can be done by contacting the PAL hotline at 028855-8888 or sending an email to wecare@philippineairlines.com .

In August last year, PAL alerted the public on the existence of bogus Facebook accounts bearing the PAL name with hoax messages soliciting applications for non-existent positions in their company.

The fake FB account entitled "Phil Airlines" is sending messages to individuals inviting them to apply for the job of 'PAL Foundation ambassadress' with a request for a face-to-face meeting.
