Budget carrier Cebu Pacific Air (CEB) has received its first aircraft delivery in 2024 as it continues to strengthen its operational resiliency.
CEB said the aircraft, an Airbus A320ceo, arrived on February 9 at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport from Chengdu, China.
It is the first of the expected 17 aircraft deliveries for Cebu Pacific this year, CEB management said.
According to Xander Lao, CEB President and Chief Commercial Officer, the aircraft delivery is part of the company's commitment to providing safe, accessible, and affordable flights for every passenger.
"We are excited to fly even more passengers to their chosen destinations this year made possible by our growing domestic and international network and ongoing fleet expansion efforts," Lao said.
Cebu Pacific is anticipating a fleet size of 92 aircraft by the end of this year.
Currently, it has one of the most recent fleets globally, comprising a of aircraft such as eight Airbus 330s, 36 Airbus 320s, 20 Airbus 321s, and 14 ATR turboprop planes enabling the widest domestic network.
