AS a resident of Tanauan City in Batangas (although he has roots in Calauag, Quezon as her late mom Rosanna Acuesta Marudo was from the town), actor Zanjoe Marudo has been around not only in this city but throughout the province.
Zanjoe is able to explore Batangas and other neighboring provinces by simply biking. Of course, he has companion bikers who search far and wide inspiring stories not only about places and events in the balisong (Batangas knife) country but also people who have achieved successes in life in whatever field of endeavor they thrived.
Not only is Marudo sharing his discoveries with friends like David Ilustre in their vlog “D Lazy Roadtrip” but with multi-sector individuals.
Recently, the award-winning actor and his buddies found out a very inspiring narrative of an entrepreneur who started his coffee business on-wheels—as in bicycle—which was later converted into a wandering coffee shop in a van.
The successful owner is Jeron Tanglaw who was congratulated by Zanjoe on his enterprising spirit as a coffee maker in the land of coffee beans—Batangas.
According to Marudo, Jeron kicked off his coffee business in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic but it has leveled up to a socio-cultural merchandise and into a profit-oriented enterprise, a feat among small people with big thinking. Tanglaw has now a legal business name—Kafe Kultura.
“Nakaka inspire ang storya ni Jeron Tanglaw, nagsumikap sa gitna ng pandemya (It’s inspiring, this story about a hardworking person in the middle of the pandemic),” beamed Zanjoe proudly.
