THE death of diminutive star Mahal is as colorful and as intriguing as her lifetime.
Days before Mahal—Noemi Tesorero in real life—passed away, he and boyfriend Mygz Molino went to as far as Guinobatan, Albay in the Bicol Region to reach out for her screen partner, same midget Mura who has gone back into countryside living after his stint in show business.
According to Mahal in her vlog, she went to see Mura to advise him that whenever there would be available work for him in showbiz, she would tag him along.
The more moving spirit of Mahal’s visit to Mura was to extend her helping hand to him. “Hanggang sa tumanda ako, uugud-ugod, siyempre, pupunta pa rin ako rito. Kapag halimbawa, nawala ako sa mundo, mayroon akong kaunting naitulong sa’yo (Until I grow old, weak and feeble, of course I will still pay you a visit here. If ever I am gone, I’ve got something to help you),” Mahal said in her video clips which elicited various reactions from her fans as a foreboding statement.
Mahal and Mygz came all the way from Tanauan City in Batangas to travel to Bicolandia. Molina is from Tanauan and Mahal had been staying with him during the COVID-19 pandemic as they were together in doing the online show.
Obviously, days after the Bicol trip, Mahal didn’t feel well and complained of stomach ache. When she was rushed to a hospital in Tanauan, the midget star was diagnosed with complications of COVID-19 which later claimed her life.
The Tesoreros were immediately informed of the condition of their kin. A sister from Cleveland in the US had advised that the remains of Mahal be brought to their other sister Irene Tesorero. It was Irene who officially announced the death of Mahal in socmed.
Sadly, there were accounts that the Tesoreros blamed Mygz for Mahal’s impending bad shape. They allegedly said that Molino shouldn’t let her go on to as far as Albay because of the threats of the new coronavirus and its variant Delta. But the actor said they were already vaccinated.
In a social media space, an account was posted that Mygz was even sent away by the Tesoreros during the wake, an accusation which is yet to be verified.
The whole of show business and Tanauan City are still in mourning with the passing of one of the most fascinating personalities in the local entertainment scene.
