MATINEE idol Piolo Pascual has been living in the countryside of Batangas, along the seaside of Mabini where his palatial beach resort is.

Since the onslaught of the deadly COVID-19 when most of his TV and movie assignments were on hold, Piolo has been staying in this idyllic community and enjoying it.

Until he recently signed up with ABS-CBN again and was given a new TV drama opposite the newly welcomed Kapamilya star Lovi Poe.

So expect that Pascual will shuttle (if required) from Mabini to any part of the country where he would shoot the teleserye.

Happy days are here again with PJ, Piolo’s pet name and his mother studio, when he starts to roll the shoots and appearances in ABS-CBN projects.

According to an interview, Piolo couldn’t afford to hurt his home studio by leaving it so he sticks with it again from now on. Gone are the uncertainties in his loyalty to the media house which nurtured and took care of his career.

Meanwhile, Lovi is an addition to the former GMA Network talents who have moved in to the Kapamilya station like Sunshine Dizon and Janine Gutierrez.

Moments before she inked the contract with her new home base, Poe penned emotional yet crystallizing notes on her leaving the Kapuso Network. “Hindi po biro ang 15 years (is not a joke). I would like to thank GMA for taking a chance on this unknown dreamer; for believing in me and supporting me all these years. I have utmost respect and gratitude to the network that has given me my roots and a heart full of memories.

“Thank you for planting my dreams. Thank you for giving it time, love and effort to water it.
“Punong puno ng pagmamahal at pasasalamat (Overflowing with love and gratitude).”

Lovi was with her talent manager Leo Dominguez when she signed the contract in the presence as well of ABS-CBN bigwigs, Carlo Katigbak, President of the ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation; Cory Valenzuela-Vidanes, Chief Operating Officer; Group CFO Rick Tan and TV Executive Deo Endrinal.
