BABIES bring joy and happiness not only to their parents but to other members of the family especially the grandparents.

As a mother-in-law and an expectant grandparent, Vilma Santos has been dreaming and anticipating every day of her life a grandkid she could kiss and cuddle.

As soon as her son Luis Manzano had tied the knot with actress Jessy Mendiola early this year, Vilma couldn’t wait to see and hear a baby’s breath in her watch.

Time and again, Santos has expressed her excitement to have a grandchild as an addition to her growing family.

Ate Vi isn’t choosy of the gender of her future apo (grandbaby) as long as it’s healthy but in the many public discourses she has had, the actress has been hinting in desire another girl in the family after Jessy whom she loves dearly.

And who wouldn’t be as excited and as happy as Ate Vi as Luis when a new member of her family would be finally given to them.

In a post-honeymoon trip update, Manzano has expressed his wish and prayer that a visit from the stork anytime would be bring revelry. The Manzanos travelled all the way from Lipa City to Palawan to celebrate their oneness.

When Jessy and Lucky were in the paradise-like Amanpulo for their honeymoon, Luis publicly said that the romantic date could bring in their most cherished dream of a baby. “Malay natin (Who knows), after nine months, makabuo (we can make one),” Lucky playfully but honestly quipped.

Lola (Grandma) Vi is interestingly awaiting.

Meanwhile, Jessy got to tour and to see for herself the huge farm of her mom-in-law and Tito (a term of endearment to an older man or an uncle by blood or by affinity) Ralph Recto in Lipa City.

The large-hectare homestead is located in a very strategic site in Batangas overlooking the Mt. Malarayat and Vilma was so proud of their estate.

“Nalibot ko na ang lahat ng lugar sa Batangas dahil naging governor ako at maganda talaga itong lugar na ito (I was able to go around all places in Batangas because I used to be the governor of the province and this location is really good),” claimed the Star for All Seasons. “Gusto ko talagang may farm ako noon pa (I really wanted to have a farm even then),” she informed.

Mendiola felt privileged to have visited the big farm of her mom-in-law she was proud to be with the owners who were obviously endeared to her.

Santos’ farm is called Villa Rosa Ranch purportedly alludes to the first name of Vilma, Rosa Vilma. The stead has the most idyllic atmosphere of a village with plantation of various fruit-bearing trees like mango, coconut, atis (custard apple); aviary, little zoo and other amenities.
