Lipa, Batangas City et al movie houses welcome the 2021 MMFF

Not only are the eight official entries to the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival exclusively shown in Metro Manila, they are also being screened nationwide.

In the case of Batangas Province, the 47th MMFF movies are being shown in various mall cinemas in Lipa City, Batangas City and other places in Batangas where there are available and accredited theaters by the Cinema Exhibitors Association of the Philippines (CEAP).

Batangueños and Batangueñas don’t have to travel to Manila to watch and enjoy the eight films included in the fest. There are also short films which are added attractions to the main features.

Moviegoers are just reminded to follow health protocols like wearing of masks and if necessary, face shields, disinfecting one’s body with sanitizers and other disinfectants to assure of the mitigation of the virus and maintaining social or physical distancing.

Theaters are allowed only 50% capacity of viewers all over the country inside the screening halls.

Batangueños and Batangueñas are given the options to watch any of their favorite or selected films among these entries from December 25, 2021 to January 8, 2022:

“Love at First Stream,” a teen love story of ABS-CBN Film Productions directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina and starred by millennials Jeremiah Lisbo, Kaori Oinuma, Daniela Stranner and Anthony Jennings; “Huling Ulan sa Tag-araw,” a romantic comedy of Heaven’s Best Entertainment directed by Louie Ignacio and top billed by Ken Chan and Rita Daniela; “Nelia,” a thriller of A and Q Production Film directed by Lester Dimaranan and featured Raymond Bagatsing and Wynwyn Marquez; “Big Night,” black comedy of Cignal Entertainment, Idea First Company, Octobertrain Films and Quantum Film directed by Jun Robles Lana and showcased Christian Bables, Janice de Belen and a host of other top stars;

“A Hard Day,” an action suspense thriller of Viva Entertainment which pitted Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla with each other directed by Lawrence Fajardo; “Kun Maupay Man It Panahon (Whether the Weather is Fine),” a dramatic vehicle of Cinematografica, Plan C, House on Fire etc. and featured Daniel Padilla and Charo Santos directed by Carlo Francisco Manatad; “Huwag Kang Lalabas,” a genre film of Obra Maestra and Cineko Productions and starred by Kim Chiu, Elizabeth Oropesa, Aiko Melendez etc. directed by Adolf Alix, Jr. and “The Exorsis,” a fantasy comedy of TinCan Productions which showcased sisters Toni and Alex Gonzaga directed by Fifth Solomon.
