YOU won’t believe it but premier actress and director Laurice Guillen’s domestic life isn’t typical of showbiz denizens and the ordinary daily quotidian.
It’s because she as the mom of two grown-up ladies, namely, multimedia artists Ina Feleo (film and television actress) and Ana Feleo (classical singer and artist) and the widow of the late award-winning actor Johnny Delgado has designed their household to be casually detached, impersonal and distant yet paradoxically warm and filial.
Literally, the Guillen’s and Feleo’s house in Quezon City is a distinct place. Laurice stays in the ground floor while Ina and husband Giacomo Gervasutti occupy the second story. Laurice said they seldom see each other.
Not really a weird set-up but a way of life Guillen and Feleo have been used to not exactly anathema to the European and Italian familial set-up where Giacomo is attuned to. Italians value family no matter if they don’t live with each other. There is an overwhelming respect for each member of the family especially for the elderly.
Meanwhile, Ana lives in a condo, according to Laurice.
“I only see Ana when we meet in our farm resort in Lipa,” volunteered Guillen.
The Guillen and Feleo’s vacation house in Lipa City is a haven for those who want to commune with nature and the women really enjoy the solemnity and rusticity of the idyllic environment.
In the pandemic, Laurice, Ina and Ana always see to it that they spend quality time with each other in Lipa.
