In between lock-in shoots and other showbiz commitments, actor EJay Falcon is on a countryside sortie particularly with the incumbent governor of Oriental Mindoro, Humerlito Dolor, a longtime friend of the former “Pinoy Big Brother (PBB) winner.

EJay is a native of Pola town in Mindoro and he is familiar with the terrain of the region so he makes it a point to tag along with Dolor to experience more of the bucolic life he once was living on.

But his physical presence with the politician has brought wild guesses from among the Mindorenos and Mindorenas that he would be interested as well in running for a public post in the province.

As a matter of fact, whenever Falcon would speak with his fellow Mindorenos, he would empathize and get involved with them in seeing a bright future for the province.

EJay has been known to be a son of a poor family in Pola where their former house had no available sewerage system except the traditional dug-out where he and the members of his family would perform the call of nature.

According to his discoverer Benjie Alipio, EJay was literally in tattered shirts when he saw and convinced him to join the talent search of ABS-CBN.

“Walang-wala talaga sina EJay pero nakitaan ko siya ng pag-asa na may mararating siya sa showbiz (EJay was bereft of anything but I saw in him the promise of a successful showbiz career),” recalled Alipio who still has navigated with Falcon especially these days when they are doing “Balangiga 1901,” a gigantic project on the Balangiga massacre in Eastern Samar during the turn of the twentieth century under the dual direction of Francis “Jun” Posadas and Danny Marquez.
