It was a very placid birthday celebration of actress Amy Austria in the woods and seas of Lobo, Batangas recently.

Amy chose to spend her natal day in the far-off land because she wanted to be with herself and to commune with nature literally and figuratively.

It was also her own way of spirituality as she sought the presence of the Lord in her turning another year of productivity and religiosity.

Amy has realized a lot of things when she became closer to the Lord, she revealed in her vlog.

“Kung noon, pa-easy-easy lang. Pag may problema, ang gagawin ko, lalabas ako ng bahay at maggo-goodtime. Pero pagkatapos no’n, nandoon pa rin ang problema (Before, I was just taking life happy-go-lucky. When I had problems, I would just go out and paint the town red. But after the goodtime, the problems are still there).

“Pero nang tanggapin ko si Jesus Christ, nabago lahat ang pananaw ko sa buhay. Naging mas kontento ako at mas maligayang tunay (But when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Savior, my outlook in life had changed. I became contented and truly happy),” she disclosed.

Aside from the joy her spiritual transformation has given her, real friends sent her words of love from across the globe. Two of the many of Amy’s BFFs like director and actress Laurice Guillen, who was in Italy at the time of Amy’s birthday, sent her a video message which made the celebrator teary-eyed.

“Esmeng, kung nand’yan lang ako, pupuntahan kita sa Lobo (I would pay you a visit in Lobo to celebrate with you),” assured Laurice referring to Amy’s pet name, Esmeng which was derived from the real name of Austria, Esmeralda Tuazon.

Another friend, Lorna Tolentino was also very enthusiastic in being with Amy although she gave her virtual hugs.
