After Pola, Oriental Mindoro, it is Bauan, Batangas that is the current flavor of location shoots season of internationally acclaimed filmmaker Brillante Ma. Mendoza.
According to Cataleya Surio who is one of the stars of Brillante’s new film, Mendoza and his creative and technical teams have just pulled out from a filming site in Bauan but would move to another set for the continuation of “Kaliwaan.”
Dante Mendoza will shoot not one but several films in Bauan.
Mendoza isn’t the director of the first film project for Viva Films, though. Instead, he is the producer of “Kaliwaan.”
It’s prizewinning and Dante Mendoza’s protégé Daniel R. Palacio who is directing the film top billed by sexy star AJ Raval and Mendoza’s discovery Vince Rillon.
AJ has been enjoying her stay in Bauan where she is already attuned to its people and places. One of the things Raval admires in the bucolic town of Batangas is its food and natural beauty spots especially of the pristine beaches.
Vince, on the other, has also been acquainted with Bauan’s rural peculiarities because he has exposed himself to making several movies in the countryside like Pola and now in this paradise of CALABARZON.
But wait, there are tongues wagging about the possibility of Aljur Abrenica going to Bauan because AJ, the most talked about girl where his name is being dragged romantically.
It is in the open that Aljur and Raval are taking photos of them together which seems to prove their relationship is already up and about.
“Kaliwaan” is set to hit the live streaming platform of Vivamax during the last week of February.
