Customs, NAIA fete ‘top taxpayers’ for 2023

For their contributions to the Philippine economy, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) and the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) recently feted the Top 20 Customs importers for 2023.

In a statement, BOC-NAIA District Collector Yasmin Mapa said these companies made “significant contributions in revenue collections that carried through a challenging year that enabled us to surpass the annual target.”

These companies include Smart Telecommunication Inc., Samsung Electronics Philippines, Globe Telecom Inc., Louis Vuitton Philippines Inc., International Specialty Concepts, Innove Communications Inc., Novartis Healthcare Philippines Inc., Allegro Microsystems Philippines, Alta Global Services Inc., Pfizer Inc., Christian Dior Philippines Inc., HP PPS Philippines Inc., Abbott Laboratories, VSTECS Phils. Inc., Tiffany & Co. Philippines Corporations, UNILAB Inc., Border Trade Management Inc., Zuellig Pharma Corporation, GlaxoSmithkline Philippines Inc. and Luxury Goods Philippines Inc.

The top taxpayer, Samsung Electronics Philippines, remitted a total of P2.739 billion in revenue collections for 2023, Mapa added.

“To our Top Importers in 2023, you carried us through a challenging year that enabled us to surpass our annual target. This is a shared success, because without all of you today, this would not have been possible. Kaya maraming salamat po sa inyong patuloy na suporta sa mga adhikain ng ahensya,” she stressed in her statement.

Mapa also recognized the hard work and dedication of all BOC-NAIA offices which contributed to the success of the Port, highlighting their essential role in “driving growth and fostering esteemed partnerships.”
